They'll tell you that those 8 cops were necessary to protect the 'suspect' and the police from 'potential interference' by bystanders – and that they were there to keep the peace. The truth is that they were forming a wall to prevent 'involvement' and they would have immediately attacked any camera operators and had their guns drawn at the nearby crowds out of cowardice – if they had not been recorded or thought there would be no consequences. It started as people being concerned about one loud annoying man in public. Now the gestapo has arrived and everyone has to be concerned that there are 8 armed egomaniacs with immunity loose in the street, screeching orders and causing even more public fear. It does not take 8 cops to stand around and watch a guy in handcuffs. The other way this benefits them is that as long as they are wasting time on this scene, they don't have to be involved in anything complicated or dangerous somewhere else. They'll probably give each other valor awards for standing around at this scene while somebody is being robbed and shot just a mile away.

If this man is homeless, I would say that's why they are messing with him. They don't want him in this area. Which is totally unlawful.
This is infuriating. First off, it doesn't take 20+ pigs to deal with 1 man. They have the poor guy just standing there to b humiliated in front of everyone forever.
