    I've died before I've seen heaven and hell . I've seen what it was like. It's in Scrabble take days to describe can't say I've never seen my best friend found dead. But I didn't know what heaven looks like I had died three times. Much love.

    Wow, I thought it was me. I've felt it, I assumed it was me "dealing" but I guess it's an actual phenomenon that does exist. At least someone else besides me has felt it, it feels a little less horrible to know that. Cold and unlifelike, uninhabited, when someone I knew and loved used to live in there it felt absolutely surreal and did last a lot longer than I wanted it to

    I’m so so sorry. Traumatic moments like that can stay with you forever. The human brain has an interesting way of keeping ahold of those moments of contact with experiences of a primal nature. These are referred to as Primal Scenes. The Primal Scenes we hold onto most vividly are the first time we see our parents having sex. Any encounters with death. For example the sight of extreme violence, and moments when we believe we are about to die. There are probably other ones, like seeing childbirth. One of my most vivid scenes was the first moments of my granddaughter’s life. But these moments are engraved on our brains much more deeply than normal memories. They will stand out in memory as vivid snapshots, or video clips. One of the jobs adrenaline performs is to carve frightening or traumatic memories more deeply into your brain so that when you encounter that dangerous situation again, you know to be cautious. That’s what causes PTSD.

    Sorry that happened to you brother, I worked in EMS for over a decade, and a Combat Medic as well. What helped me to get through it was the Sovereign Lord Jesus Christ and His love. I pray the Lord helps you through this as well.
