Took his skateboard from rip when Maines own statue states 1st offense is a written warning. Cop yelled at top of his lungs TO SHUT THE FUC& UP at him. Cop name Nick Clucky
They can't even trespass you from private property, the owner of the property would have to sign a trespass against someone. This cop is just bored!

The guy hits a cop with logic saying is public property being county, cop uses his faulty logic to say can you go to jail then? I would have hollered guess I can go to the jail parking lot right now without IDing myself. Then he probably say no in the jail, and I would say you mean these restricted-access areas, show me the restrict access area I'm in now show me the gate or fence I jumped?

This Cop does not know the Law. I looked up Trespass on Public Property. One needs to have conducted some sort of Disorderly Conduct to be Trespassed on Public Property.
Jeez, what a moron. I was out in Duluth hunting there last winter on state wildlife management areas (WMAs). You can just walk/hike/ski through sans permit, if you are actively hunting you need one. I can't be kicked off as long as I am obeying the rules such as no target shooting, destruction of state property (signage, gates), hunting during legal hours etc etc. A cop or DNR officer can't just kick me out because they felt like I shouldn't be there.

"I'm willing to go to jail for it!" That's exactly the challenge every cop needs to hear when they spout BS about what the law says. How do we know that THE COP didn't really believe he NEEDED Jim's ID? Because he DIDN'T arrest Jim *on the spot* for "trespassing and failure to ID".
Until cops are held PERSONALLY accountable for being WRONG about the law. It's one of the bitter ironies about law enforcement that CIVILIANS are expected to know the law and are held to the standard of "ignorance of the law is no excuse [for breaking the law]" while COPS (whose JOB it is to enforce those laws) can claim immunity from personal responsibility by telling the court "I didn't know the law wasn't what I thought it was."
