I have lived in this town for 50 years! Since the age of 15 I have seen over 15 different police officers do & say unthinkable things & got away with it. I have contacted the Mayor. He said he was gonna look into it & give the police more training! That’s a joke. Our town is just over 27,000 people. All it has is Walmart, Kwik Trips gas stations & bars! The cops have got away with it for decades!! I’ve seen it with my own eyes & also have spoken up to be told always we will look into it. We will train better!! What a joke! I hope Ian’s attorney gets him a lot of money. Ian was right when he said that our one way streets are dark & hard to understand. It’s always been that way. Ian DID NOT DESERVE THAT AT ALL!! I can name over 10 cops since I was the age of 15 that did illegal things & got nothing but a slap on the wrist & got to stay on the force with pay. A couple of years ago an officer named Gothlern punched an African American woman in our local grocery store. It went viral. The cop was 2 1/2 times her size & punched her hard straight in the face. Knocking her out to the ground over nothing. He’s still on the force today. Our police department is a joke & it’s time they finally pay for what they have been doing for decades. For the last 35 since I was 15 over 10 officers have done illegal things & are still on the force, are courtroom bailiffs & even a State Attorney for our city. It’s time we all stand up together & make this department pay for their illegal actions. #JusticeForIan!!!

“I can’t feel my legs!!” Do you need medical attention?!? FTFOH!! What. A. Moron. Y’all just tackled him, you could’ve paralyzed him. Of course you should call for medical regardless of his answer. As a paramedic I’m utterly embarrassed by first responders like her and the rest of this blue line gang. Nothing but bullies. They make it harder for the honorable cops who aren’t idiots or tyrants.

NO reasonable person would consider his hand gesture to be a threat to anyone. It is precisely what someone does when they ask a question. The only time a tazer should be permitted is when the person is actively and intentionally resisting. Asking questions isn't by any intelligent standard active resistance. Failure to comply instantly (especially when in pain and being pummeled by officers) is not active resistance, and is often reflexive, not intentional.
All of this because the guy accidentally turned the wrong way onto a one-way street.
