I was a Deputy, definitely never had a drop gun or drugs lmao. I HATED traffic stops, I thought they were bullshit however, if I ever actually did find drugs, i would very often just have them throw that shit into the wooods or something so we could both just go our separate ways. There were no legit quotas, or incentive to do anything with the exception of "looking good" to get on some "special" taskforce or something. I did eveything o could never to arrest anybody and to resolve anything i possibly could "in house" so to speak, barring any serious physical harm or anything like that. I tried to be a good cop but the job definitely starts to give you a superiority complex and i found myself not caring about helping after a very short time. Hence why i left after only one year. I honestly worked with some very honorable people but i also worked with some serious shit heads. Cops are people, some are shitty, some are amazing, but it is seriosuly magnified when that level of power and authority gets thrown into the mix. Strange job for sure
