  2. As a person that is legitimately terrified of the dog community, I'm really bothered by the actions of these officers and the department that has backed them up. The video didn't show/discuss the dogs doing anything harmful or egregious to earn a damn death sentence.

I am 100% afraid of unleashed dogs that I don't know…and some that I do know…and some that are leashed. Basically, I'm not afraid of all dogs, but most dogs. I wasn't always terrified, but I was bit. It was a dog I was acquainted with. It was totally unprovoked and completely shocking. It required stitches and a shot. Within days, she bit a toddler that lived next-door causing significantly more damage than I received. She was put down.

That was not the outcome I wanted for the dog and THB, I blame her owner (ex bf's idiot roommate), not her.

My fear occurs whether I want it or not. I can't turn it off. Dogs sense it and react. It's what they do. I'm not mad at dogs for being dogs. That doesn't stop me from becoming filled with even more fear and anxiety when I recognize the dog knows. It's a whole instinct cycle thing that culminates in me completely freezing in place with unnatural breathing and a pounding heart and the dog totally on edge. I'm the one person sweetheart teddy bear dogs become agitated around. Again, I'm not mad at them. I just hope they're on a leash and their owner is holding on tight.

Unless I was just effing mauled and I needed a police report for insurance to cover my medical care, I still wouldn't call animal control or LE on a dog that scared me or bit me. I know what variable I am in that equation. Besides, LE show no restraint in using force, often deadly, on unarmed human citizens who commit the (non)violent crime of using mean or confusing words or running away from violent unaccountable gun wielding rage filled officer pampers (because of course our instinct to live tells us to get away from insane predators asap). Obviously LE would execute a pet for nothing. Just to see if their guns are working properly. These are people that happily turn friendly dogs into weapons of violence and state oppression. Their affection is transactional– a "good boy" and a belly rub being offered only after the dog has chased down and physically mangled a human (only suspected of criminal activity – not even necessarily violent activity ).

This is my sincere, boozy response.

  3. This is all animal control’s fault not the cops. They should have at least come out and assessed the situation and advised if they thought they were aggressive. If you send the cops to put out a fire instead of the fire department, you can’t really criticise them for not doing a good job of it

  4. Imagine living in a town where if your pup escapes the yard it's going to be killed if you aren't the first person to find them.
    I'd be moving asap

  5. No the dog should not be labeled dangerous it is clear-cut case of a non-dangerous animal and the deputy should be reprimanded and disciplined for I'm not sure what it would fall under I think animal abuse. It is very obvious that the sheriff department is reaching to label that dog a dangerous dog when it is clearly not a dangerous animal

  6. A national cop trainer, Dave Grossman, literally said in a conference a few years ago that many cops tell him that the best s3x they have happens after shooting someone. It’s a perk of the job. This is why they were laughing, they get off on violence.

  7. Truth be told, the police officers violated the law, but they get around that by only following "policies" which are "loosely" defined and very broad (for example the commonly over used "officer safety"). These policies are done because the courts don't want to "set in stone" basic rules to not be liable for"legalized thugs". Back to the laws broken, easily is "discharging of a firearm" multiple times without legal justification is a clearly visible and property damage/animal cruelty if the dogs had a legal owner. The fact that they weren't charged or disciplined before public outcry (if any should happen)is no real surprise at how they get away with breaking the laws they are paid to enforce. This is like getting pulled over and "done the once over" because you either minor swerved/failed to maintained your lane at night on a one way road.

  8. This is not your best work. A literal pack of stray dogs…… animal control won't respond… HUMAN BEINGS COME FIRST. if the cops hadn't dispatched the dogs, and the dogs went and killed some kid in their own front yard…… what then?! I bet you a million dollars you'd post a video alluding to the possibility that the cops shrugged off their responsibility and now a child is dead. Don't ruin your message with crap like this that just muddies the water and makes it seem like no matter what decision police make…. you'll just make a video about it condemning them. It greatly diminishes the power of your VERY IMPORTANT message.
