Man Gets Punched in the Face Repeatedly During a “Welfare Check”

In Clarksburg, West Virginia, a woman called police for a welfare check after seeing a man in apparent distress on the sidewalk. Shortly afterwards numerous police officers surrounded the man, and decided to detain him. When the man didn’t want to be handcuffed, officers “assisted him to the ground.” Then Officer Elijah Helsley of the Clarksburg Police Department repeatedly punched the man in the face, among other things. The woman who had previously called police was shocked at what she was witnessing, and began filming with her phone. She shared the video on Facebook, after which it ended up on the local news, as well as the subject of a song.

  1. There is one question that I would like US Government again. Do you pay Police Officers to serv and protect or beating, shoot, harass, pull them up, spit, kick, invade People home warrantless or not? Why aren’t fired immediatly ok? These scenes still keep on and on 0k.

  2. Check Calhoun county jail. They murdered Randy Cruze. Then said he starved himself to death. I was a trustee. I watched them beat him every tray, until we found him ( completely covered in his white sheet dead.) They also tried beating me to death a couple year's later. Then released me in a blizzard.

  3. I noticed the cop that was punching had one chevron, along with another cop next to him. The two standing didn’t have rank on their sleeves, and there was a Sargent there holding the guy. Why didn’t the Sargent stop them or at least set the example? Isn’t he in charge?

  4. The remedy you all need is that of a civil rights 1866 complaint which has not been enulled superseded amended or any way you'd like to phrase it it is still in enacted as per congressional intent having full affect to this day .. more importantly with the notwithstanding aspect of both that act and habeas Corpus 1863 , that will give you all of your individual in/unalienable rights which is set out under your Bill of Rights … petitioning a civil rights act complaint within the correct state jurisdictional territory a major aspect as to why it never succeeds petition against the commissioner of their bonds which is the Governor General will in fact bring them into line and back under the fold you really should look into it America I'm not talking about time is it running out

  5. I have just unsubscribed to your channel and will never what any of your videos again. You use to be a straight shooter who only highlighted bad cops but for whatever reason i.e. maybe there are no more bad arrests you just go after cops just doing their jobs.

  6. Same here, only 3 hours after being punched I had to call the welfare check on myself at gunpoint. The gun to my neck. Officer Walsh of the Eden police department in North Carolina.

  7. Clarksburg is a dilapidated city full of bums these days. The once a year Italian Heritage Festival is happening their next month and they need to clean up the streets before hand. But that does not entail their cops to punch people in the face.

  8. This is just 🤢. Why did they keep punching him in the face? He was down on the ground. Obstruction to his own welfare check…😮. Law enforcement is 🤮
