Ugh, if that's what the dispatches sound like on the radio and not just a low quality recording, I could see things getting screwed up all the time around there.
Anyone surprised by this ? I for one, am not. An honest appraisal by a person with very little to lose, about the department she worked in. Probably, nothing will be done about the toxic atmosphere created by the command chain. However, they are not alone, in America as a whole and other police forces around the world this toxicity is rife. It only takes a few rotten apples to infect the barrel. Then the public bears the brunt of their behaviour. When the public turns, and history shows they will, these people will pay a price beyond their imaginings.
Going out like a savage and she dropped the mic on that. Sadly this is the world we live in. Deny and ignore problems. Corporations are just as bad.

I don't get it. she doesn't like the working conditions but her message does not relate to police abuse of people.

The main problem is the other officers knew the department has so many problems but they still keep being the thin blue line of thugs.

Every single thing she said is probably true. But a "hero" would have worked to change things to better the department. In short, it takes no courage to bash the team on the way out. Everybody knows Miami is one of the most corrupt departments in the country. What are you gonna tell us next, water is wet? How about some solutions?

I wish that I had made a broadcast, calling out the unfit 'bad apples' when I left my department.
It was a great PD until a new Mayor, and hence a new Chief to follow, made high ranking administrative personnel changes which planted 'bad seeds' in top roles in our precincts.
That's cute they all spoke up then but not when it counts. No one stood up for their co worker.
