Officer Safety VS Puppy – Can they be sued?

Police officer bodycam footage from the Loveland Police Department shows an all-to-frequent occurrence, this time involving a couple’s 14 month old dog, which unfortunately is no longer with us. After the incident a supervisor arrived, and allegedly said to write a ticket, because the couple was going to the media.

Did this look reasonable to you?

What is the law in these type of situations?

  1. Cop says dont tell me how to do my job after shooting there dog??? And then tries to convince the owner the dog is going to bite her and it is too late to do anything…this man is just gross…

  2. Wieder einmal ein schießwütiger Sonderschüler in US Polizeiuniform.

  3. Not sure why after all these videos of Police Officers committing horrible things to US Citizens. Why we continue to listen and obey our government and these THUGS. POLICE are the exact same as a criminal organization running around committing crimes against us and calling it for our own safety. Here you have a POS Officer with a gun that's aloud to shoot and kill. Then say it was going to bite him. Defund the police

  4. 📬 ~ How is it possible that mailmen are able to work six a days a week with aggressive dogs without carrying a gun? Oh, because they’re not cowards that shoot at the smallest amount of fear.

  5. one problem, cops take pre-employment screenings and are coached on how to pass those tests. I have friends that played college football that is petrified of cats and another friend petrified of dogs. this cop may have had a traumatic experience with a canine and is petrified. When you are coached on how to pass exams, problems occur.

  6. That cop is an absolute coward. He should not be allowed to carry a gun. What would happen to you or me if we were to shoot an actual viscios police dog if it were released to attack. Can you say jail time.

  7. What in God's name is this coward so afraid of. Turn in your tin badge and gun and check yourself into any mental hospital. One of these Ivy League universities needs to to a study what happens to a law enforcement officer's brain over time. They need a ask for volunteers as they enter the police academy to have their brains scanned and at intervals throughout their careers. We need to discovery why, over time, they become mean spirited and believe THEY are above the law.

  8. Officer's first resort should NOT have been to use lethal force. Given (a) the size of the dog, (b) the demeanor of the dog (wagging the tail) – NOT barking, officer was definitely trigger-happy.

  9. The cop could have jumped in his car then to have that disgraceful Sgt then try to stitch the poor people up for what I could see was a despicable act that cop had2 less lethaln then to have that scumbag sargent the sets the guy for a ticket what a disgusting man you are

  10. How was I supposed to know he's a puppy? Because he looks like an effing puppy, you idiot. Mailmen aren't in the business to get bit either but they don't just willy nilly shoot puppies…..👿
