NO, NEVER! If they have a SEARCH warrant they'll come in anyway. And an arrest warrent is NOT a searchbwarrant and they cannot come in with just an arrest warrent unless the person they're there to arrest is within their sight.

Had an encounter where they gave the same excuse. Came in and asked if everything is OK then asked where all the phones were located. Kitchen and front bedroom. They said they found the remote phone on the bed that dialed the 911. In the bed next to it was our cat.
Police are allowed to lie to you, but you aren’t! Never trust the police. Not all of them are corrupt but all of them will take advantage of your ignorance of your rights to accomplish their own agenda’s
