I get that small town government officials know each other and will defend one another but this shows the lack of oversight and how far corruption goes. It isn’t worth appealing the ticket beyond Commonpleas Court because of the cost but he can file complaints on both judges for not recusing and finding him guilty with no evidence other than the officer’s word because local police are not allowed to use radar.
For future reference, Pennsylvania is the ONLY state that does not allow local police to use radar, only PA State Police can use radar. Any other method to precisely measure speed is electronic and the officer would need to be stationary to measure the speed and distance at speed. The driver should’ve contested the citation in court as there was no accurate way to measure speed and with his recording of the officer stating he is exempt from being cited for speeding is an outright lie and he’s the Chief of Police. The driver should file a complaint on that chief with the Municipal Police Officer’s Training Commission which certifies police in Pennsylvania and request that the Chief’s certification be suspended until he is retrained and tested for compliance.

I sued civilly, won a case for official misconduct and also for assault by police.
The judge said they had 'qualified immunity' without hearing anything I had to say on it….and I won the case because the other lawyer settled representing them before I could present evidence.
Only reason I agreed is because judge told me he wouldn't pursue charges and couldn't.
Corrupt system, and I won't get into how I got revenge, but they may need to check their tires. Yeah, they drove a law abiding citizen into doing petty crime…is what it is. I win legally, and illegally….they just won't ever face true justice.

The law for emergency vehicles is hardly enforced in PA. Hop on any interstate and the state troopers are pushing 80+, tailgating everyone. You even see the speeding and tailgating on one lane roads. PA cops are kinda trash.
Cops think there above the law and don't need to follow it. Dude is 100% right they are supposed to be setting an example and should not be able to fine or arrest someone for something they have done themselves in my opinion. I also think cops should have 2-3 times the fines or jailtime/ probation when they break a law because they are supposed to uphold the law and not break it just because they know there fellow cops and the judge will cover there ass most of the time. This stuff has been happening for way too long its just up until 10-15 years ago no body had dash cams or cell phones to record and prove what happened.

Yeah, like anyone can beat the blue line cartel without video proof- never happen. Generally takes appellate court even if you Do have video evidence against these gangs of organized crime. How no one has successfully prosecuted cops/prosecutor/DA under RICO yet baffles me. They operate just like the mafia families in their day and age.
This should have gone to the 6th circuit court of Appeals and to the Supreme Court if NECESSARY! There must be an attorney out here willing to take this case probono to help stop the corruption among not just bad corrupt cops but the judges as well! This video should be shown on loop on every TV station in that country to let the people know that their voted in judge is CORRUPT ALONG WITH THAT COP!!

The judge should have recused himself because he was too close to the chief he knew him personally he should even have taken the case it should have been another judge presiding over that case. The cop was wrong he was speeding it's just the way it is Chris paid is fine but the police officers should have paid a plan also
The chief in the next town over (Galeton) was sleeping with a 19 year old girl in his squad car while being about 40 years her senior as well. Still has a position in law enforcement if I'm not mistaken. All the scumbag cops protect each other and the judges just let it slide.
