If i took a shot wvery time the cop said "i dont care that you film" i would have been drunk in 1 minute and dead in 6. Ive never heard someone who didnt care about something bring it up so many times in such a short period.

obstruction is a physical act & there is no Crime scene tape put up. This cop is butthurt & his ego keeps him escalating the encounter to the point of threats of arrest when no crime was committed. That cop needs to be demoted & suspended
Even if police were required to "protect" people (to what extent?), warning the civilian about the danger is all that is morally required. Beyond that, there is no reason to care how close he comes, as long as it's not directly obstructing an officers line of fire/coms. If he wants to play war correspondent, who are they to stop him?

Striking distance of a gun depends on what gun it is a pistol being a Striking Distance could be a hundred yards rifle could be up to 300 yards but it's not your job to protect the citizen it's been proven that you don't have you don't have the right and you don't do that you don't protect the citizens safety so he can stand wherever he wants you don't have tape up if you can't stand this side of tape once it's up they put it up after asking to go outside of it if he doesn't then you may have something but that officer is just a tyrant he thinks his words are low and that's not right somebody needs to retrain him and send him back to the law library which you probably never spend a day in his life anyway he needs to spend less time at the gun range and more time reading books about laws so he can do his job better.
