Big update in Chris Wiest’s case in Kentucky, where several Kentucky police officers are being held accountable for their misconduct.

  1. I noticed a lot of hateful words towards police in general, on this video and others. How can you rage on all LEO's just because of the actions of a few scumbags who slithered through the trooper selection process? Yes, I get it, these douchebag bad cops and their cover-up supporters need to be weeded out and properly punished for their crimes, but I believe the vast majority of our frontline LEO's are just and honorable.

  2. Omfg, Is it ever good that these folks had a camera in that room. Although I personally would never have let these pigs take my footage. If they delete footage on someone’s camera then obviously they have done this before.

  3. Hi, expert here. When the officers deleted the footage from the phone, the media was not actually removed. Any deleted files on iOS and android can very easily we recovered in most cases.

If they still have the phone that this was recorded on, it is still possible to retrieve. Altho it gets less and less likely in time, or situations where the phones storage has been completely filled with new files.

If police ever delete anything from any device, take that device and go and see a recovery expert. We will be able to get your recently deleted files back for you, and provide you with logs and other digital forensic materials that will help you PROOVE that police forced you to delete content or did so themselves without your permission. In which case, violating your rights and disqualifying them of any immunity from prosecution.

Further more, ANY TIME police violate your rights you should ALWAYS take legal action. If just 25% of people did this, and half of those people won, police in the United States would be uninsurable, which means they would actually have to pay settlements out of their ledgers. This would dissolve or even completely consume their operational capitol, which would mean they would not have enough money to pay officers, or for any other liabilities on their books including but not limited to any and all services, products, labor, ect.

They would have to then ask the local government body for emergency funding and the n the end a lot of people from the top down will lose there jobs. And it will force them to cut back and execute a community based model instead.

  4. The Ex-officer's name = Thomas Czartorski (Thomas Czartorski resigned from the state police four days after the Video appeared on Facebook showing he LIED))

A Jefferson County grand jury has indicted (Nov 9th, give or take a day) a former Kentucky State Police trooper for perjury after he denied under oath that he beat a man with a flashlight in April 2020.
If convicted, Thomas Czartorski faces a prison sentence of up to five years. He is scheduled to appear in court for arraignment next Monday.

  5. (Lawyer) so- you never hit my client once during the arrest ? (Cop) – no – !
At this poit the cop was not forthcoming with how many times he hit him , and technically he's not lying, because he knows it was way more than once, lol, it was 5/6 ! 😁

  6. I’m not familiar with the “many Supreme Court rulings on a right to record the police”. I’m aware of many appellate court rulings, but if there wasn’t such a ruling in this circuit then the qualified immunity claim is understandable.

  7. When cops violate rights and use excessive force they should be fired, lose their cert, lose their pension, charges should be filed and they should serve time in prison. They should lose their home, wife, dog and citizenship. Then put into a crab cage and drop to the ocean floor where the ocean life will eat them and excrete them.

  8. Its amazing to me how judges behave and the way they treat people before them, the decisions they make and the ridiculous explanations for them, then how they treat police officers that end up before them. One of the most important caveats of our legal system is that we are all presumed innocent until PROVEN guilty! It could not be clearer that judges understand this because when it comes to officers that have been charged with crimes or are being accused of violating an individuals rights their treated with tremendous respect and given quite a bit of leeway so to speak. However any member of the public ends up before a judge and their spoken down upon and directly accused of having lower character or warned not to try any of their devious lying or manipulative ways within that setting or else! Now how in the hell am I supposed to be considered innocent until proven guilty when I've got a judge telling me he won't stand for any further delays in these proceedings on my behalf unless I've got a damn good excuse when I've showed up for court on time every time and ready to proceed four times now only to have things continuously postponed by the prosecution because the officers that lied me here today continue to not provide the evidence that supposedly exists and the prosecutor is relying upon, which would be impossible since it doesn't exist. Theres just one example the prosecutors have postponed several times now and the judge has this on record yet im blamed for this having not spoken a single word yet in the proceeding? This guy sat high and mighty in his little universe and spoke down to every single person there that was not part of his staff, the prosecution which is essentially his staff, any police officers even when they were clearly violating rights and fully utilizing authority they didnt have. You've got a community full of good hard working people just being cheated out of thousands by a giant leech that doesn't provide any benefit for that community at all and a judge that comes in from out of town every day to help aid in the process of simply victimized anyone that comes within his reach and thats justice. Thats being presumed innocent until PROVEN guilty. The whole things such a sham and whats really keeping the masses from experiencing a legal system that functions as it was intended to is the current one!

  9. White male 30-year Texas police officer here

I do think there's a very slim sliver of a necessity in very few and far between cases where officers should be granted immunity but not generally speaking not when it comes to glaringly obvious things like this and so many things that are on video if there is something that is definitely on video and it can be clearly proven then qualified immunity should be absolutely not granted unless there is an clear and compelling and obvious explanation for what took place that is reasonable to an everyday person

Now saying that in this case these officers lied obviously they Purge themselves they cannot be trusted in police work when you lie that is supposed to be the end of your career when you're caught in the LIE that's

These guys don't even need to be on the Brady list because they need to be fired indicted for perjury and amongst other things because I saw no reason whatsoever for them to do anything other than place handcuffs on him and lock him out of the room and to the patrol car there was no need whatsoever to swing him around and slam him to the ground and start beating him in front of his parents of all things not that that changes anything one way or the other

Then they also need to surrender their peace officer license but forget that they don't need to surrender it it needs to be taken away from them and disqualified from holding a police position of any type for the rest of their life that's what needs to happen across the board to all officers when situations like this arise and it is proven beyond a reasonable doubt by video evidence and sometimes without it but we have a lot of cases being exposed on social media or officers are doing bad things and those guys are giving the rest of officers out here trying to do the job correctly a bad name in making this job very dangerous more than it already is unnecessarily because now people are growing more and more suspicious of the police and becoming uncooperative and don't trust us anymore and once that's gone you're not going to get that back

  10. At this point judges granting qualified immunity for threats against video should face stiff penalties. In fact, they should face federal civil rights suits and possibly lose their jobs.

  11. How is it reasonable for any judge to believe that citizens do not have a right to gather information anywhere they are legally allowed to be and disseminate that information? That is basic 2+2=4 level of 1A law.

  12. How often are citizens criminally charged or in any way punished by the gov for blatantly and provably lying on the witness stand? How often does the same happen when cops do it?

  13. Aaandddd it’s scumbag cops abusing a citizen… again!!
How many times does this have to happen before qualified immunity is struck down? We see it way too often where a coward with a gun and badge throws his weight around and gets away with it! Total bullshit and those lying gutless scumbags need to be fired and spend a long stretch in prison where they can make some new friends

  14. Is it me or did the surveillance footage look like a Charlie Chaplin movie 🙂 It was so ridiculous. It looked like actors from the twenties. There was no lead up they just started beating him. Both his hands and feet were on the wall and ground before it happened, then he got comically thrown to the ground and beat like it was a pantomime
