Bodycam Proves Man DID NOT Threaten to Kill Officers

This is Daniel Waltson. He was arrested for allegedly threatening to shoot police officers while they were at his home the previous night. A judge signed an arrest warrant after cops told him that Daniel “threatened to shoot the police for being on his property.” His house was besieged by police officers aiming guns at his home, where his two young kids were inside. He was arrested at gunpoint and placed in handcuffs. He spent 3 days in jail, lost his job, and was later indicted by a grand jury. Yet the entire time, there was video footage of the alleged threat, that completely exonerated Daniel, proving that he never threatened to shoot police officers. Rather, he threatened to “sue” police officers.

  1. It is absurd how many cases could be dropped by just watching a few minutes of video footage. A couple of years ago a Florida county kept a man locked in jail for a full year on charges of killing a cop. The cop had zero probable cause to detain the man and because the guy didn't immediately "properly" cooperate, the cop wrestled him to the ground and started tazing him and then the cop had a heart attack and died. Dude lost a full year of his life because a cop killed himself while doing something illegal and no one in the prosecutors office could find 5 minutes to watch the bodycam

  2. The female cop heard “sue”. Why didn’t the officer clarify since he was right there and “claimed” to hear something else?
This is why we need an oversight committee to oversee such inconsistencies and stop wasting the courts time and getting rid of cops that abuse the system. These cops are a walking liability.

  3. Police are allowed to trap you by lying…but, cannot lie in reports, depositions and on the stand, during court proceedings. This pig, flat out had this guy swatted for exercising his rights? Swatted by the cop, because he knew his rights. Lied to the judge, to get an arrest warrant😮 deceptive, criminal actions by our paid public employees 😀 what is he going to get done about it? Nothing, as soon as $$$ is dangled in front of him… he'll leave the crooked cops on the streets for the next poor b@stards…

  4. They do not have the temperament to do the job and should be brought up on charges and put in jail for their lawlessness. Plus I'd sue for around 20 million, if I won I'd probably see 5 of that.

  5. Officers that lies on an affidavit is a felony and signed by a judge is dangerous corrupt the justice system!! Those public officials definitely are corrupt and need to lose their jobs and served jail time

  6. Whatever the mechanism is to investigate & correct police misconduct, clearly no longer works and has not for a long time. So i guess lawsuits are the Only remedy if the victim is lucky enough to have clear-cut video evidence on their side.

So where does it go from here – tump will probably ban all bodycams requirements for cops.

  7. So they think it's a terrorist threat when if he threatened to whoop the police ass or shoot them but it's not a terrorist threat when police shoot unarmed citizens because they don't have control over the citizen can't control the way they think because the citizen is a free thinker and realize that he or she have immunity on this land

  8. This is going on far to often in our country. I sure hope he follows through and does SUE the crap out of both the police station and civil suit against those officers. Qualified immunity should not apply her!
