What the police departments that hire these guys are not taking into account is when people see these videos of these cops violating people's rights like that and then those cops come to their homes, those people will naturally have a right to be afraid that these cops are not going to obey the law and are likely to kill them. Knowing that those people could have a decent defense for defending their home to the death if necessary. This is the message that police department that hire cops like this are sending out

They literally could have gone and gotten coffee, eaten a donut whilst calling a judge, play mini golf while explaining the reason for their need of a warrant, and leisurely drive back to execute the warrant.
There is a second amendment that allows everyone to carry iron. This amendment was in place for a long time before those cops made the choice to become cops. They knew that they would be dealing with citizens who could be armed legally, and knew that there were rules governing when a firearm can be treated as a weapon and when it is simply a tool or possession.
So, the cops were either completely ignorant of their responsibilities and the citizens rights, they were too corrupt and lazy to do their job correctly, or they were too scared of the spectre of firearms in the community.
Absolutely none of that is excusable. I want cops who aren’t paranoid that everyone is out to get them, and respect the profession enough to follow their rules.
Paranoia is a symptom of mental illness. Law enforcement ranks 22nd for on the job injuries and fatalities. Of those casualties, more than 3/4 are from traffic accidents.
There is no scientific and empirical reason for cops to be as scared of on the job violence as they are.
We do not see crossing guards crying for fewer responsibilities because they are scared of cars. Even when they suffer more on the job injuries and fatalities.
