All I know about Mississippi, and this was 25 years ago, and I hate to even bring this up, I really hate to bring it up because I don't believe in racism, but….. when my buddy Dez (Dez is a black man, I am white) and I went to visit his mom and sister in Mississippi 25 years ago, we got in a small fender bender. The car behind us ran right into us, but only a slight tap. Zero damage to their car, but my car had a big dent, and it was a brand new car at the time, only 2 weeks old. The people in the other car was 3 older people, I was 25 and they were probably around 55 to 60, and they were all white. As soon as they saw Dez they started saying to call the police. As I was explaining to them that no damage was done to their car and they were at fault to begin with, and no reason to involve the police, they refused to listen and called the pigs. There's no situation the police can't make worse. They showed up and instantly put Dez in cuffs, I was blown back by what was happening. Luckily, a third patrol car pulled up and it just happened to be a white officer that Dez went to high school with and were good high school friends. The other car got the ticket, and we went on our way. But, I'll never forget that day, and how blatantly racist all of those people and cops were. I can't say that the pigs in this video are that different.
