As a "them" l have learned that like officer safety, going home to family is what is most important. I have lao seen the seminars that indoctrinate officers to disassociate harm that falls upon the innocent as merely collateral damage and to not let it affect mentally any guilt or responsibility. Like all of these officers, internal affairs, higher ranking officers and prosecutors, I too have no personal feeling for fallen officers, regardless of whether they are good or bad cops. They have been compensated until the end of shift and will not be missed. This position must be in order to carry on as a citizen of this great country.
