Cops Arrest Paraplegic in Wheelchair for “Kicking Down” Woman's Door and Fleeing “On Foot”

In June of 2024, a woman called police and claimed Charles Read kicked down her door and assaulted her, then fled on foot. Officer Mark Bellotte obtained an arrest warrant for Mr. Read. The only problem was… Mr. Read has been in a wheelchair for 25 years.

  1. This is the problem with so many police these days; everyone they approach is probably guilty of something in their mind. But if someone is accused of doing something, the person who was accused is guilty they will arrest them without investigation and no matter what THEY WILL NOT LISTEN.
Full disclosure, I'm Australian and I live in Australia as well, but it is the same here too. Maybe not as bad as America, your police are way more Gung ho, but officers over here just do not listen. If you have been accused of something, to them, you did it.
What is worse though, and I do not know if the U.S has this, but over here there are certain laws (anti bikie laws and anti gang laws) they can use, where they can arrest and detain you, or search your house with a warrant they obtained without showing any evidence to a judge.
They can tell the judge 'it is secret evidence' or even say; 'the officer had a very strong suspicion' – that a person has; committed a crime/about to commit a crime/is talking about committing a crime. Not only that, they can say this person who once committed a crime (no matter how long ago it was), is now associating with person who has committed a crime/about to commit a crime/or is talking about committing a crime.
Bet they don't advertise that fact on Tourism Australia commercials.

Back on topic, this kind of thing makes me so angry…

  2. This officer, his supervisor and the Lieutenant are TURELY PATHETIC IDIOTS. Would it take 10 minutes to check his likely handicapped license plates, or the legal history of his gunshot WOUND or just having him role up his pants legs to see how he likely has no muscle mass on his legs or wear on the bottom of his shoes. With cops like this it is amazing ANY CRIMES EVER GET SOLVED. THAT LIETENANT AT THE DESK IN THE CHAIR IS A REAL PIECE OF WORK DO THEY GETR ANY STUPPIDER OR LAZYER!!!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

  3. So frustrating to actually see a kind and intelligent cop for once, only for him to run into stupidity and incompetence at every turn as he's trying to do the right thing

  4. Is this for real, everyone of these cops right up to the lunch lutenant have a room temperature IQ and should be manning the drive thru window at McDonald's instead of the enormous protection of citizen's rights! Pathetic 😡
