Because the contractor working next door says you yelled at him and hurt his feelings… Knowing your rights – that the police cannot just stand on your front porch, detain you, force you to answer their questions, and shout things at you without your permission – you tell them to leave. You even call the cops on the cops. I mean, they don’t have a warrant, and they don’t have your permission. Right? But even though the courts have said this violates your constitutional rights, what if the cops just don’t care? What if the people at 911 don’t care? What if the supervisor doesn’t care? What if they just ignore your constitutional rights?

I've said it before, you're system is broken in the sense that only prosecutors can prosecute crime. In South Africa, if the national prosecuting authority declines to prosecute I can hire a lawyer and prosecute the case if I'm so inclined. It is actually being done here in SA where the prosecuting authority is useless and private prosecutions of particularly police and shall we say 'connected' individuals have been privately prosecuted.

Sadly, nothing will be done about this unless you answer the door and provoke them into violently arresting you. That's the only way the courts take it seriously and you can get a lawyer to sue them for you.
