This disabled military veteran was completely confused when police officers showed up at his home one evening, telling him they wanted him to step outside and talk. When he wisely said no, even though they had no warrant, the officers then barged into his home in front of his entire family, handcuffing him, threatening to tase him, and throwing him to the ground, injuring him in front of his shocked family. Then these cops realized that, oops, they were at the wrong person’s house. Why? They were looking for a shoplifter who allegedly stole $150 worth of shrimp from a Winn Dixie who was not him, and who didn’t even match his description. That’s bad enough. But the most shocking thing about it is that an entire group of police officers thought they were entitled to just barge in a guy’s home without a warrant? Every government employee from top to bottom responsible for this must be held accountable.

Every place offer in the United States needs to be retrained because it's over and over again where they get the wrong person and they always go to the wrong house you need a little bit more than a second grade education!!! Start making the police unions and the police officers themselves carry Insurance just like doctors for all these lawsuits and it will put a stop to this because once they get to a three lawsuits they can no longer be a police officer because they can't carry Insurance it needs to be 100% in the United States every officer has to carry insurance for lawsuits

The lady telling the officers " no thank you " and starting to close the door was well within her rights. But the police didn't care about her legal rights. I think the police can't enter the curtlege of the propery , like the lawn or porch without a warrant , unless invited the occupant of the home. The police injured an innocent man and entered his home without a warrant , they can't claim immunity when the veteran sues the police department. Judges at any level of the court don't grant immunity to police that violate and injure innocent citizens.
Lawsuit. Those cops should be fired and maybe prosecuted for false arrest.

I’ve written you before, but my husband was accused of a crime he didn’t do. They pulled up to my house as soon as he pulled into our driveway. No sirens or lights on, gun drawn until back up came with more officers coming with guns drawn. Yelling and cussing at him and yelling at me to get back inside and then to move away from the window. They’re “right” was that he matched the description of the suspect. Which was a gentleman in an old red car, wearing a hat and grey sweats(which you can NOT see the sweats while he’s in the car). Traumatized him, myself and our daughter. My daughter has police officers coming to our house and killing her dad. Once the “victim” came and said it wasn’t him they just said “our bad, we’re doing our job” is that legal?
