So apparently we're all supposed to keep funding and excusing the continued willful ignorance by the police regarding ID laws and filming. Year after year, in basically every town everywhere, police continue to misunderstand the law regarding IDing and we're supposed to keep paying for the lawsuits and never expect any meaningful changes.
At what point do we as citizens have a lawsuit for the clear financial liability these cops create for their jurisdictions??

This subtle point 10:00 is a major problem–they're poking the stick trying to get this guy to flinch ad do something worse. The entire stop was fruitless, so law enforcement is trying hard to make it about something. It's called the ends justify the means (in this case, provoking).
Pretty sure the Science is in and when people are allowed to cover their face and remain somewhat 'Anonymous" that their behaviour declines sharply. I personally feel that it's one of the reasons that during Covid it was a contributing factor to why everything devolved into craziness so fast, because people felt like they could act in a way they never would if their face was bare for the world to see. Cops are the same, but since they already feel invincible in their authority, covering their face just makes them 10x worse.
