Officer Magnifico, Who Lost His Temper, Slammed Kid at Sheetz, Has RESIGNED (but not really)

Officer Rob Magnifico, formerly the chief of the Ellwood City (PA) Police Department, was demoted in June after he slammed a kid on the ground at a Sheetz gas station for using the “F” word while demanding his cell phone be returned, which he had previously accidentally left at the gas station. Apparently Magnifico recently resigned – but unfortunately, not from Ellwood City. Instead, he is challenging his prior discipline, and may actually be making more money, while exercising essentially the same authority as before his demotion. And he’s also the local HS football coach.

  2. Just when you thought you've heard it all, along comes this video. I sure hope there is allot of follow-up on this one. Thanks for bringing these to all of our attention!

  3. Only a Psychopath thinks 'cursing' warrants violence against a person. Pure psychopathy. Since he clearly has maga-style support in his community, they will likely make him a state rep or senator if he at least adds a few molestation charges to his credit. They love this s**t.

  4. That's assault caught on camera.

    Pigยทnoยทrance

    /pหˆiษกnษ™rษ™ns/

    noun

The willful ignorance of law enforcement officials regarding the law to avoid accountability by relying on qualified immunity to justify their actions.

"they acted in pignorance violating basic civil rights"

Ignorance of the law is no excuse, but pignorance of the law is perfectly acceptable. Police training reform needs to happen.

  5. So a citizen assaulted a police officer, youโ€™ll be going away to prison for a long time.

If an officer assaulted a citizen, he gets to resign from the department and faces no consequences from the law?

    Funny how the laws work.

  6. Back in 2000, I was about 8 mo pregnant with my daughter. My ex-husband (at the time, just bf/fiance) had gotten arrested for driving with a suspended license and some insurance crap even though I DID HAVE INSURANCE FOR THE VEHICLE. I went to the local PS to bail him out (using the money for our electric bill). Once he gets done being released and grabs his property, the officers ALL were talking crap, trying to get him to do something untoward so he can get re-arrested. As we left the station, Chris said "fkn PIGS", they instantly ran out of the bullet-proof enclosure, pushed me aside, grabbed Chris and cuffed him. They said he was under arrest for cussing in public – calling it "unseemly conduct" because he cursed in front of me. I had to use the last of our bill money to get him out again. Complete BS, even if he deserved it.

  7. Police Unions are the only unions that the Left hates and the Right Loves.
Police Unions are the reason Bad cops are back on the streets again abusing citizens.

  8. Prime example of the thin blue line in action. He is going to get aggressive with the wrong person and get the crap kicked out of him. The moment that people realize you have a right to self defense, even if it is an on duty officer, things could change. The moment they act in the same manner as this idiot they are no longer acting in their official capacity and the person being accosted has the right to self defense. I remember hearing about a case that addressed this but donโ€™t remember all the particulars about it. The general jist was the cop was acting unlawfully and the citizen was right in defending himself.

  9. Why? Because they can. Why? Most small towns are begging for officers – so they'll take those that have been fired, sometimes from their own department. NYC was just reported as making felons into police.
Until we can defend our own property this will only get worse.

  10. He assaulted a kid. He is not a police officer, just a flipping bully. Behind closed doors, I cannot imagine what women and children have to deal with since he is this way in public. Abuse is abuse and at least the way he presents himself, is NOT someone he that should be around school kids! What county and state?

  11. How is it that the Constitution has so little teeth? We regularly see people violate their oaths to it with no consequences. It's not just this guy, it's the DA who's choosing not to press charges, it's the chief who is turning the other way. It's an entire corrupt department.
