I would sue for the illegal stop. You have proof the officer said "I don't care what the Supreme Court said." That alone should get him fired.

We need to reform the ways and means provided to the public to hold those in positions of power such as police, sheriffs, and government workers including the judicial workers, government officials and corrections officers accountable with stiffer penalties for rights violations, corruption, and even minor crimes. If these people aren't held to a higher standard then, as seen over the past several decades, society begins to break down, trust in out government evaporates, and people start distrusting our long trusted systems of governance.
When he went into the office did he inform them that he was audio and video recording them because you can get in trouble for that

NEVER NEVER NEVER allow these police to do a verbal report…. Create that paperwork and paper trail…. I want a cooy of the report before i leave. That way it isnt swept under the rug.
Why do cops automatically think they deserve respect? They took an easy test, went through so many weeks of training and got hired on to a police department. They got a job and all of a sudden we have to treat them like gods!? Respect is earned. Treat people the way you want other people to treat your mother and respect will follow.

Cop tells an Active Duty Service member protecting our constitution that he doesn't care about it… wow. Balzy. I'm a veteran, and I'd head right over to the department as well.
This exact behavior by deputy Little is the reason people flip off police in the first place. Respect is not earned when police don't understand that expression of behavior and speech are constitutionally protected activity. In their minds, the very idea that someone would flip them off is so unreasonable that they would gladly use their perceived authority to detain, harass and cite someone for doing so; this deputy offered to charge disorderly conduct. Astonishing. This easily offended deputy needs to find work outside of public display as he is unable to handle normal human behavior our culture has produced.

The problem is we expect law enforcement to understand laws. Look at the deposition of Jeff Grey and that Sargent. Honor your oath. Sargent knew zero laws.
This is why the police departments should have their own insurance policies to pay out monies for bad behavior of their officers, instead of having the public paying.
I’d go even further to have the public pay for these insurance policies and if one bad apple has a large settlement, then that person should have their police license taken away and not being allowed to find another job in policing, anywhere.
Sadly, many cops can be a petty pack of pricks. And there is little anything anyone can do about it. That is why more and more citizens hate them

Even if no disciplinary action was taken, it was still nice hearing “I don’t tolerate that type of behavior from my deputies” “I will never say I am the law, I enforce the law” I’ve seen enough videos of people filing complaints and the supervisor they talk to is just as tyrannical.
