Deputies with the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office literally threw an elderly woman out the door of their jail, telling her, “have a nice day,” then leaving her writhing in pain on the concrete sidewalk, as they walked back inside, smirking. One deputy has now been identified and fired. But what about the other 5 officers?

This country desperately needs a revolution so we can create a government FOR the people. Not like the government we have now which is for the government. A government in which the bad government actors can be held personally accountable. A government that fears the people and respects the constitution. A government that is not allowed to develop workarounds to circumvent our rights. A government in which the actors are required to obey the same laws the private citizens do or suffer the same penalties as do the private citizens.
Only then will we be a free society.
To serve and protect?….it is an institutional problem, to prosecute these few would be to make vulnerable more than half the police force.

1st time exposed to this story. Wanted both sides. I get frustrations at work. I assume that cop thought she would just pick herself up , and know better than to disrespect him the next time. Instead it turns out to be a felony level assault. The department keeps clicking its heels together like , Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz , hoping it will just magically a go away . Obviously that cop needed termination. And every thing just goes back to normal. Except, the potential lawsuit. But that's ok . The taxpayers will end up being the only ones truly punished.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is Sacramento County! Why am I not surprised? Most of my run-ins with law enforcement here in the Sacramento region have been with Sacramento sheriff's deputies. They are covering it up big time. Keep the pressure on!

I know that policing is a difficult job at times, there are a lot of bad people out there and there are risks when going up against desperate, violent people, and black humour is prevalent amongst 1st responders & military.
