If i, as a citizen, pull my weapon and it accidentally shoots someone, i would be arrested and tried for at least criminal negligence, if not aggravated assault and whatever else they could think to tack on to the charging document. This officer will be internally investigated and they will-surprise!-find no wrongdoing. Then, in a few years, the taxpayers will foot the massive bill from the lawsuit-all while officer fumble fingers still works and gets paid more taxpayer dollars. Not to mention all the other citizens at risk from this type of negligence.
And he was handcuffed. Time to take out the trash.
