Imagine it’s Christmas Eve. You’ve just returned from a family cruise, you’re tired but happy, and you can’t wait to get home for the holidays. Instead, you’re suddenly surrounded by deputies, handcuffed in front of your children, and told you’re under arrest for a crime you didn’t commit. That’s exactly what happened to Jennifer Heath Box, a 50-year-old mother from Texas, who ended up spending 75 miserable hours in a Florida jail… all because police got the wrong Jennifer. I first told you her story 8 months ago, telling you about the lawsuit the Institute For Justice filed on her behalf, asking you to send them donations to help fund their efforts. Now I have a big update on that lawsuit, that many of you helped make a reality.

  1. Yeah they know they messed up, they more then likely knew that they were taking the wrong person when they took her. Here's the deal. They don't care. Cops are so far removed from citizens it isn't funny. Sue them? They don't care. They won't have to pay, tax payers will, and no one will lose their job. They simply do not care.

  2. Most likely this will end with "The officers and county officials acted within the scope of their duties based on the information available to them." We like to say the Nuremberg defense doesn't hold up in court, but cops get away with "just following orders" all the time.

  3. It was NOT a reasonable mistake. It is an egregious violation of a person's civil rights. How can you mistake a 56 year old for a 26 year old??? Different looks, age, SSN, address and so on ad infinitum. The reason of the arrest: Those PIGs wanted the record to reflect they arrested anyone for whatever reason, real or not, true or false. It is the sum of all crimes committed by these PIGS against one single innocent person just to PAD THEIR ARREST QUOTAS – that is the only truth here: Violations of Constitutional Rights through idiotic, MORONIC and illegally malicious and willful acts. As I have said before: Idiots, morons, uncaring peoples, lazy low-lives, bullies and cowards NEEDED – Apply at your nearest POLICE PIG PEN.

  4. I will Say It for the 10 thousandth Time Florida Law Enforcement is One of the Worst, especially the Sheriff Departments and Miami, Miami-Dade, Thugs Incompetent, Unqualified, No Consequences for theses Cops. In Florida they Have Completely Immunity with this Republican Run fake Law and Order Slogan!!!!

  5. Far too many video examples of police idiocracy from the US and increasingly in other allied nations. Why is this? Perhaps it is time for a root cause analysis.

The US needs to employ people that actually possess a functioning brain with a capacity for thought and more importantly with some full and proper education where printed words and the air they travel on actually have some meaning. Instead the US utilises mindless NPC's playing out some pre-programmed narrative mindlessly ticking imaginary boxes.

They swear an oath to uphold a constitution whilst not possessing the cognitive ability to even understand the real meaning behind the words written in the oath nor what they are swearing the oath to. There is a disconnect happening somewhere, why and where does it come from? Perhaps after taking their oath to uphold the constitution they should sit a 4 hour comprehension exam on the meaning of the oath in relation to the meaning of the constitution and how they synergise.

In the meantime, until you drill down for the reasons, then recognise and address them, there will be no real change in sight. Just get rid of the automaton NPC's and you'll be 90% of the way to solving the real issue. Weed them out, draft them, put them to work digging trenches.

  6. I think the most humane thing to do here is to "youth in eyes" the involved deputies. Ya know, once an animal "bites" someone, it's best to put it down for the safety of others. Their handlers may be upset with the loss, but it is sadly necessary to maintain a safe society.

Wild boars are well-known for their aggression & unprovoked attacks against innocent people. Even though they may appear to be 'tame', fundamentally they are still wild at heart – posing a great risk to others. Plus, as a result of their habituation, they will continue to seek out and approach people if we release them to be free. This means that a simple relocation effort is going to fail, and we must therefore resort to a more permanent solution.

  7. nobody gives this woman the credit for being so calm the whole time? she made the right choise for not making a ''scene'' in the heat of the moment, this helped her a lot! no extra charges for example assaulting a officer, resisting arrest or other b.crap they give people if the officers are wrong.

  8. The arrogance and incompetence of those officers should result in them spending significant time in Jail! The significant differences between the two women, should mean this is false arrest! Illegal detainment and assault!
When the authorities are this useless, they need to be removed, and by ANY means!
When the costs come from the officers, they will learn to do a better job! Take the money directly from their pension fund. When other officers lose thier pension because of useless incomptent armed thus in uniform, they might change!!

  9. I’m genuinely curious… if one is a regular officer or not of authority to question this will they get reprimanded for questioning the arrest. Is there fear of being fired to questioning their boss? I always try to give that benefit of doubt but I don’t know how to give them that. 10 officers and not one goes “hey something is off” I would love officers to chime in and educate me on the rules and regulations of what they’re supposed to follow

  10. To whom it ma concern.

First and foremost. You peasants must understand that investigation skills are NOT a priority in Florida. Florida is a state that abides by your lord king and God Donald. Shoot first, and due process later. That is the new American way. You better get on board with this, or you may be the governments next victim. The best advice you will ever get. DO NOT EXIST IN PUBLIC.
